  1. Why is Road Show not concerned about us and our families?
    Why is Road Show hell bent on changing our lifes.
    I have been loyal to this company for many years.
    I didn’t join the union because I did’nt think I needed to. Today I realised I do. We need to all stick together on this and not let them get away with this. I am know a union member and proud of it. Come on every body wake up and join the Union before its to late.
    Concerned for my future.

  2. I didn’t realise how the 8hr day happened. I am only young and when I started work thats how it was .I am a member of the NUW and have been since they came to our workplace. But the more I read about what unions have done the more i believe I have to be part of this . I don’t want my kids to be worse off ,but better off when they go to work. And its up to us to do that just as those who fought for the 8 hour day did for us.
    NO WAY TO 12 HOUR DAY.
    8 HOURS HERE TO STAY.

  3. We are not going to put up with this. HR putting us into groups ,telling us LIES, trying to intimidate and bully us .
    ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

  4. I agree that was a disgrace. Who do they think they are.That HR lady that said she looks after us HA HA HA. I have never seen her before the last HR I seen was April. She would never had done this to us.
    Thank you to the NUW for sticking up for us.

  5. The 3.25 and 2.5 year 2 and 3. This is completely are carbage. SHAME on you all roadshow excutives…. SHAME SHAME.

  6. How could the Roadshow Company management say take the offer of 3.25 2.5 2.5 for 3 years agreement coz thats very generous!!!, well thats only a mere 1 dollar or so. It’s very easy for the management to say that coz they get paid a lot better compared to an ordinary worker who’s doing all the hard work on the floor in the warehouse, from everyones( union members to non-members)observation for many many years the Distribution warehouse have been “very very productive” and that’s a fact!!!. I’m absolutely sure the management from Punchbowl to Preston Warehouse will agree of everyones observations if they can only be “transparent”!!!

    • Get real you are spot on. We are only asking for whats fair. Our company should have a look around and see what other companies are paying their workers. Production here at Prestons has increased 70% compared to Punchbowl. We are good family people here and should be rewarded for our efforts.
      All non -union should read the letter from management that says they will stand all employees down without pay when we take action. At least we get a say as union members and decide if we go on strike. And go on strike we will.

  7. Three Senior Executive Directors At Village Roadshow Are Putting Their Hands Out For A 17% Pay Increase That Includes Cash Bonuses Of Almost $1 Million Each.
    The Management Decided That ‘Bludgeoning’ Workers into A Position Of Fear and Intimidation with ‘Compulsory Focus Groups’ With Threatened Deadlines Would Be Enough to Force Employees to Accept the Agreements That Have Virtually Been ‘Rammed’ Down Their Throats.
    True Test Of Leadership As To Whether He Will Respect The Overwhelming 92% View Of Roadshow Workforce Or Whether He Chooses To Continue Ignoring And Not Valuing Or Recognising The Efforts Of Workers Who Have Delivered What Roadshow Management Recently Described. The Union Will Be Again Requesting That Fair Agreement And To Respect The Wishes Of Its Entire Workforce . There Is Now A Clear Mandate For Union Members To Do Whatever Is Necessary To Reach A Fair Outcome For Workers Who Have Been Treated With Contempt For So Long And Workers Have Now Spoken. Roadshow Management Are Refusing To Negotiate A New Agreement With Their Workers Instead Using The Global Financial Crisis As The Reason To ‘Drive Down’ Wages.
    If You Believe The Reasoning Management Has Given For Their Latest Refusal To Move On Their Wage Offer, It Would Be Quite Logical To Assume That The Australian Operations Are In Deep Financial Trouble. Roadshow Management Maintain However That This Is Not The Case But The Difference Between The Union’s Position In Wage Negotiations Leads Us To Conclude Either That Roadshow Management In Australia Are Simply Using The Global Financial Crisis As A Convenient Tactic To Drive Down Wages Or They Are In Serious Financial Trouble.
